Carolyn Wenning

Carolyn Wenning is a painter and mixed media artist. She received a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University and an MFA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She exhibits mostly in Western Pennsylvania, including the Pittsburgh Center for the arts and the Mattress Factory. As well as producing her own work, Carolyn is a dedicated art educator. She has taught in the Fox Chapel Area School District, has been a faculty member at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and currently teaches at Carlow University. Themes frequent in Wenning’s work include psychological states of the extreme and the use of the body as metaphor.
